The University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons had already secured these before its five-point loss, 82-87, to the De La Salle University Green Archers Nov. 22. It was UP’s last elimination game in this 88th season of the University Athletics Association of the Philippines. The Fighting Maroons’ final four schedule has yet to be announced by the league.
Noy Remogat was overall top scorer of the UP-DLSU match with 25 points, and also led in assists, with eight. Jacob Bayla had the highest +/- stat at 10. Francis Nnoruka and Gani Stevens had seven rebounds apiece. Nnoruka also led the game blocks at two.
JD Cagulangan, Malick Diouf, Javi Gomez de Liaño, Ricci Rivero, and Jaydee Tungcab were some of the Fighting Maroons alumni who watched the game at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
