The University of the Philippines System administration honored its retirees and recognized its outstanding staff members in a program held June 10 at the Benito Sy Pow Auditorium, College of Architecture, UP Diliman. Parangal at Pagkilala: Kawani at Retirado ng UP System Administration was organized by the Office of the Vice President for Administration and the UP System Human Resource Development Office.
UP President Angelo Jimenez led the presentation of the Gawad ng Paglilingkod to 36 staff members with 10 to 35 years of service. Three employees received the UTAK Award (Pagkilala sa Natatanging Inobasyon at Tuklas Tipid); four received the PUSO Award (Pagkilala Para sa Inspirasyon at Husay ng mga Kawani); and 10 retirees were awarded with the Gawad Retirado. Three deceased staff members were also honored.
The Buwan ng Unibersidad is this year’s commemoration of UP’s 118th founding anniversary, June 18. It was formerly Linggo ng Unibersidad. The theme of the 2026 celebration is Ani at Alay: Tumutugon. Naglilingkod. Para sa Bayan.
