The University of the Philippines Board of Regents, in its 1404th meeting Nov. 26 at Ang Bahay ng Alumni, UP Diliman, approved the appointment of four university officials:

Dean, College of Veterinary Medicine
UP Los Baños
Prior to their new appointments, de los Reyes was director of the UP System Office of Admissions, while Capistrano was VSB college secretary. The terms of Legaspi and Estacio, meanwhile, were renewed.
De los Reyes is recognized for leading the OAdms in making access to UP education more inclusive through innovations and the utilization of technology in the UP College Admission Test.
Capistrano teaches management of information technology, operations management, and systems analysis and design, among other subjects.
Legaspi’s leadership and research focus is on advancing tourism education in the country, corporate social responsibility and employment relations in tourism, tourism human capital, and indigenous peoples and tourism.
Estacio’s specializations include neuroscience, endocrinology, physiology, and laboratory animal medicine and testing.
The board also discussed other academic matters, such as appeals on the 2025 Faculty Merit Promotion, and approved UPLB’s adoption of the UPD Varsity Athletic Admission System and Bachelor of Sports Science program. The BOR also approved the creation of the UPLB Procurement Management Office.
