| Written by Fred Dabu

The University of the Philippines Diliman Asian Center hosted the second of the two-day Trans-Pacific Sustainability Dialogue 2025. Former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and UN Philippines Resident Coordinator Arnaud Peral were the university’s guests of honor. In the Nov. 11 event, leaders and scholars of sustainable development exchanged insights on UN Sustainable Development Goal 11, the main point of discussion. Advocates, researchers, and students from various sectors and organizations participated in the plenary discussions and workshops.

The annual TPSD aims to help nations in attaining its goals guided by the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.  The event was co-organized by AC, UP-Centre International de Formation des Autorités et Leaders Philippines, Stanford University’s Walter H. Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center, and the Ban Ki-moon Foundation for a Better Future.
