The University of the Philippines Alumni Association of San Francisco (UPAASF), in collaboration with the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Office of Student Development Services (OSDS), and the UP Diliman Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, will open registration for Batch 2 of the Alumni Mentoring Program (AMP) on Sept. 12.

This UP flagship initiative connects UP Diliman students with Silicon Valley–based alumni mentors through online sessions. By leveraging the expertise, global perspectives, and innovative mindsets of these alumni, the program seeks to strengthen ties between the university and UPAASF while empowering UP Diliman students as they navigate their career paths.

The Alumni Mentoring Program also supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education, which promotes inclusive, equitable, and lifelong learning opportunities for all.

Grounded in the principles of design thinking, the program emphasizes empathy, collaboration, and experimentation in career planning. Mentors and mentees engage in active dialogue to address challenges, develop solutions, and create strategies tailored to the mentee’s goals.

Objectives of the program include:

Empowering UP Diliman students through mentorship with experienced alumni.

Enhancing students’ employability and supporting their personal and professional growth.

Strengthening collaboration between UP and UPAASF by creating lasting alumni-student connections.

UP Diliman students are encouraged to register for this valuable opportunity and take the next step in their academic and professional journeys.
