Philippine Genome Center: Call for Donations for Protective Personal Equipment

| Posted by UP Media and Public Relations Office

To address inquiries on how to help and/or provide assistance during the COVID-19 National Health Emergency:

The Philippine Genome Center of the University of the Philippines was tasked to handle the sequencing of COVID-19 samples for the next two (2) weeks, in coordination with the health workers from UP Manila National Institutes of Health, to provide our scientists with crucial scientific information to mitigate the spread of the disease.

In our effort to continually protect the PGC skeletal work force during this national health emergency, we are accepting PPE donations, such as N95 masks, surgical masks, disposable impermeable laboratory gowns and caps, face shields, and shoe covers to replenish our supplies and at the same time share these donations to the NIH, PGH, and UP Health Service.

Thank you very much for your support.
