The Philippine Energy Research and Policy Institute, the country’s top independent think tank on energy policy and sustainability, inaugurated its new office and launched its Green Jobs 3: Turning Research into Opportunities exhibition, April 7 at the University of the Philippines Bonifacio Global City campus in Taguig.
PERPI Deputy Executive Director Angel Chona Grace Valero-Nuñez led the ribbon-cutting ceremony alongside UP BGC Executive Director Leo Cubillan, UP System Procurement Office Director Flor Rissa Ofilada, and Department of Energy Undersecretary Giovanni Carlo Bacordo. Also in attendance was Christian Lyster, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to the Philippines. Representatives from the academe, government, and the energy industry also attended the event.

The inaugural conference was led by the Office of the Vice President for Public Affairs and the UP System Media and Communication Office, and hosted by the UPV Information and Publications Office. It aims to foster collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the sharing of best practices among the UP’s information and public affairs offices, in recognition of the growing importance of effective and strategic communication in today’s rapidly evolving media landscape.
