The global outbreak of COVID-19 reveals the fundamental tenets of the trade-off we consistently face: humans have unlimited needs, but the planet has a limited capacity to satisfy them.
To be able to balance both needs and resources, people must learn to transition to sustainable living practices. COVID-19 prompts changes in lifestyle, which can be a positive thing.
In the fifth installment of its webinar series, the University of the Philippines-International Training Centre for Authorities and Leaders Philippines (UP-CIFAL) is focusing on “Nurture Nature: Impacts of COVID-19 to the Planet and the People.”
This webinar, which will be held on Wednesday, 10 June 2020, , 14:00 (Manila time), aims to discuss the relationship between a sustainable planet and environment as well as responsible consumption and production by people during a pandemic.
