Philippine Ambassador to Chile Celeste Vinzon-Balatbat paid a courtesy visit to University of the Philippines President Angelo Jimenez Jan. 7 at the Executive House, UP Diliman to discuss collaboration with Chilean universities.
Other points of discussion were: the 80th anniversary of Philippine-Chile diplomatic relations; proposed workshops by Kontemporaryong Gamelan Pilipino and UPD College of Fine Arts Dean Abdulmari “Toym” Imao; visual art and UP Baguio textile exhibits; a Kontra Gapi performance tour in Latin America; and the celebration of Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month, where a possible partnership with the UP Law Center’s Institute for Maritime Affairs and Law of the Sea may be entered into for the month’s activities.
