Bridging the Gap: Transforming Education for a New Generation

Alumni Association of the Philippines get an insider’s look into the final report findings of the Second Congressional Commission on Education in a forum held April 13 at UP-Bonifacio Global City and organized in partnership with the University of the Philippines and the Philippine Center for Islam and Democracy.
“Bridging the Gap: Transforming Education for a New Generation” featured a presentation by EDCOM 2 Executive Director Karol Mark Yee, particularly on a 10-year roadmap to reform the education sector. His presentation was followed by reactions from Lanao del Sur First District Ziaur-Rahman Alonto Adiong, Association of Concerned Teachers Party List Chair Ruby Anna Bernardo, Metrobank Foundation President Philip Francisco Dy, and Harvard University Board of Overseer Vice-Chair and Khan Academy Philippines CEO Geraldine Acuña-Sunshine.
The HKS members, including Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy alumnus and UP President Angelo Jimenez, are finding ways to concretely support basic educational reforms through their respective sectors and organizations.
