UP tops April 2025 electronics engineering, technician, and MedTech licensure exams

Iskolar ng Bayan from the University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman clinched the top three ranks in the April 2025 Electronic Engineers Licensure Examinations, based on results released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC). 

Nathaniel P. Dimaunahan ranked first with a rating of 92.30%, followed by Zylm M. Sabater in second with a rating of 92.10%, and Wynne Angelo B. Arcilla in third with a rating of 92.00%.

Also in the top 10 were Bijan G. Domenden, ranked sixth with a rating of 91.30%, and Ryan Jonathan Blanco, who placed seventh with 90.40%. Gabriel Daren L. Monasterial ranked ninth with a rating of 90.10%, and Ned Jairus A. Tilos ranked 10th with 89.90%.

Overall, UP Diliman registered a passing rate of 94% in the electronics engineering exam, with first-time takers recording a 97.83% passing rate and repeat takers registering a 50% passing rate. Out of 50 examinees from UP Diliman, 47 passed. The university was named top-performing school for the exam, having exceeded the 80% passing threshold with at least 30 examinees.

A total of 2,820 examinees from all over the country took the examinations, with 1,280 passing, resulting in a 45.39% passing rate. Graduates from UP Diliman also performed well in the April 2025 Electronics Technicians Licensure Examinations. Daniel R. Vicho ranked first with a 95.00% rating, with Mary Trixia Elyonne L. Baynosa, Gabriel S. Gates, and Hans Kenneth M. Larson ranked third with their 93.00% rating.

All 38 examinees from UPD passed the exam, registering a 100% passing rate. Overall, 2,411 took the exams, with 1,971 passing, resulting in an 81.75% national passing rate.

Meanwhile, UP Manila and UP Visayas both registered 100% passing rates in the March 2025 Medical Technologists Licensure Examination.

A total of 20 graduates from UP Manila and 12 graduates from UP Visayas—all first-time takers—took the exam. All of these examinees passed, reinforcing UP’s consistent performance in health-related licensure exams.

A total of 7,658 examinees from all over the country took the exam, with 6,147 passing, resulting in an 80.27% overall passing rate.
