Fifteen University of the Philippines (UP) System employees, recognized for their dedication and long years of public service, received their certificates and tokens of appreciation from University officials on July 1 at the Atencio-Libunao Hall, UP College of Law, UP Diliman, Quezon City. In his message, UP President Angelo Jimenez emphasized the core values that employees and public servants should possess and exemplify in the course of their duties. In addition to excellence, fortitude, humility, and resilience, he said loyalty is one of the most important traits.

“Your loyalty and dedication play a main role in building a great University. . . . Each of you have your own UP story. . . you play a part in someone else’s UP story. . . and are nurturing future leaders,” Jimenez said.

UP Vice President for Administration Augustus Resurreccion praised the awardees for contributing to the prestige and development of the University as a bastion of academic excellence and service throughout the years.
