
Four constituent universities of the University of the Philippines are among the five best performing schools in the August 2025 Food Technologist Licensure Examination.
In its August 16, 2025 release, the Professional Regulation Commission announced that UP Diliman topped the list with a 100% passing rate, as all 40 of its test takers successfully passed the exam. UP Mindanao and UP Visayas-Iloilo followed closely with passing rates of 97.56% (41 of 42 examinees) and 92.50% (37 of 40 examinees), respectively. UP Los Baños took fourth place with a passing rate of 91.11% (82 of 90 examinees). Top performing schools are those that had at least 25 passers and an overall passing rate of at least 80%.
UP graduates also excelled individually, with eight students among the top scorers in the exam. Marbie Alpos Entero of UP Mindanao and Joyce Abigail Asetre Tabardillo of UP Diliman led all UP test takers with a rating of 87.25%, securing second place. Edward Peter Buebo de Guzman of UP Diliman and Jessica Mei Tuazon Patasin of UP Los Baños took third place with a rating of 87.00%. Julianne Mae Marguerette Racho Albos and Mayjed Gonzaga Añasco from UP Los Baños, along with Guiller Dartin Llames Canapi Canapi and Ma. Sarah Cruz Javier from UP Diliman secured fifth place with a rating of 86.50%.
