Never again, never forget: UP invites all Filipinos to be part of the UP Days of Remembrance

Never again. Never forget.

These words hark back to a dark period in the country’s history that must never be forgotten nor willfully erased—not if we wish to elect good leaders and create a better future for our children.

The University of the Philippines (UP) is inviting all Filipino students, educators, and citizens to this year’s UP Days of Remembrance, a week-long commemoration to honor the struggle of the Filipino people under the authoritarian regime and UP’s contribution to the uprising against the Marcos dictatorship.

With the theme “Dambana ng Gunita: Mga Batayang Katotohanan at Aral ng Batas Militar”, this year’s UP Days of Remembrance aims to tell the truth behind the myths and misinformation about the Marcos regime, and to highlight the real stories and experiences from those dark days.

The week-long event will be held from September 20 to 24, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Each day’s webinar will focus on the following sub-themes:
